"Aladdin Trouble"

School Show

This year’s show “Aladdin Trouble” has  been a huge success. The children performed to almost sell out audiences in Tuesday and Wednesday Evening and to a very enthusiastic school audience on Tuesday morning. These shows are wonderful events for a school where not only the children who are directly  involved with the performance increasing their skills , but we also develop aspirations of other children. I have overheard  a number of younger children discussing the show and talking about what they enjoyed and how they wanted to be part of this when they are older.

We are immensely proud of the children and thank them for their efforts and wonderful work.

Many thanks to all the parents for their support with costumes, learning lines and for putting up with endless, but wonderful versions of their children singing the songs at home.

Thanks must go to the staff- to Ms Davies and Mrs Wardrop for supporting the children with IT and manning the door, to Mrs Houston, Mrs Mackendrick and Mrs Webster for  face painting on the night, to our friends from Knightswood Secondary  for their support with choreography, to Mrs Gill for all her help in bringing the dance and movement together, to Mrs Laidler for supporting the children to make props and backdrop, to Mrs McKnight for her expertise and guidance in all aspect of music and for creating costumes, to Mr Docherty and Mrs Murphy for their tireless efforts and endless patience bringing the performance together with the children and supporting them to play their part. And finally to Mr Cunningham for his energy, enthusiasm and for leading the school to bring you this outstanding performance. It is a privilege to work with children, staff and parents at Knightswood.
