Parents Connect at SLF 2014
Want to find out more about getting parents involved in education? Then encourage parents and carers from your school to come along to the Scottish Learning Festival on 24 and 25 September in Glasgow to find out more. For the first time SLF includes a dedicated area for parents, Parents Connect. The National Parent Forum of Scotland (NPFS) and the Scottish Parent Teacher Council (SPTC) have joined forces to host a packed programme of discussions and guest exhibitors to connect parents, teachers and other partners.
NPFS is a national body led by and for parents. The Forum works in partnership with national and local government and other organisations involved in education and wellbeing issues to ensure parents’ views are represented and taken into full account.
SPTC is a parent-led member organisation supporting parents, carers and parent groups, country wide. SPTC aims to build confidence, knowledge and skills so parents can engage how they want to, by providing free advice, user friendly information and resources to our diverse school communities.
Please encourage any parents and carers you know to register on the SLF website and come along to Parents Connect.
